Takorea Cocina

I made these nachos. They were very good. It had three layers of chips and ingredients. It had refried beans, taco meat, corn, green peppers, salsa, guac and lots of cheese. I wish I had put a few extra chips on the bottom. There were a lot of ingredients.
The Chicago Tribune recently published a neat article on the 11 best nachos in the city of Chicago. Naturally, I read through the article quickly and pinpointed the spots I hadn’t visited yet. Tuco and Blondie was first on my list (largely due to being in a convenient location for both General Cheese and me). […]
Ordered delivery from a bunch of nacho places. The favorites of the night were Takorea Cocina and Lonesome Rose. Takorea Cocina’s nachos were topped with cheese, sour cream, roasted sesame seeds, green onions, cabbage slaw, tako sauce and bulgogi beef. The Lonesome Rose nachos were topped with black beans, queso, pickled red onion, pickled jalapeƱo, […]
I was very excited when Dimo’s emailed me that their slice of the month (of August) would be nacho’s flavored pizza. Every bite had a great crunch to it with a good combination of beans, cheese, and meat spread across the slice. If you are going to eat pizza and not nachos, I would recommend […]
We just moved to Avondale a few weeks ago and are generally pumped about trying new neighborhood nachos. I learned that a longtime favorite restaurant, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, offers nachos only on Thursdays and while curious, was skeptical. I WAS DUMB! THESE WERE SO GOOD! Chips tasted freshly fried, the corn pico de gallo […]
There’s nachos were amazing! The chips were very crisp. The cheese was perfectly melted and distributed. All the toppings went so well together. The menu says “Pico de gallo, seasoned black beans, green onions, serrano peppers, mexican cream, sour cream, guacamole, monterey jack cheese, queso fresco” My favorite part was the fresh serrano peppers. A […]
These nachos were alright. The menu says chili con carne, jack and cheddar cheese, jalapeƱos, pico de gallo, salsa roja. It sounded like it was going to be amazing. The chips were crisp and salty. But a lot of the chips weren’t covered in toppings and there was chopped up lettuce covering the whole thing. […]
Three-cheese blend, black beans, tomatoes, chopped jalapenos, red onions, sour cream, cilantro & avocado creama. Chicken was an add-on. Overall these nachos were pretty average. There was a good balance of cheese and other toppings. With lots of bean and chicken this was a pretty substantial meal. The stand out feature to me was the […]
The Nachos BellGrande is pretty disappointing. These nachos come with the standard Taco Bell toppings: ground beef, tomatoes, nacho cheese, refried beans, and sour cream. There’s not a lot of flavor in these toppings. The chips are pretty thin and plain. Also pictured the Nachos Taco. According to NachoMamma it was everything she wanted in […]
